Proper shoewear
Bring extra clothes if you are planning to swim in the river.
Always hold on to guide ropes especially in slopy areas of the trek.
Take a quick stop on the “man-made” rice terraces of the locals ( my favorite part of the trek, you’ll be mesmerized for sure, sobrang ganda)
Keep an eye on “manong unggoy” (the monkey), the trek will never be complete without him “ showing off “
Clean as you go, ( be responsible on your trash guys)
To avoid slippery accidents in the river, its best to remove your shoes when jumping from rocks to rocks.
Our whole day experience in Cafe La Guada made us realize that Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental has a lot more to offer than pine trees and kapihans. This place is really worth a visit.
